Privacy notice

Last updated

This notice explains what personal data the Zeynoc Ledger website (ledger.zeynoc.com) collects, why, who processes it for us and the rights you have. It covers this website and the early access requests made from it. The Zeynoc Ledger application has its own terms for the people who use it.

Who is responsible

The controller for this website is Zeynoc. You can reach us at hello@ledger.zeynoc.com about anything in this notice.

What we collect and why

When you request early access

The early access form asks for:

  • your name and work email address
  • the name of your practice or business
  • whether you are a practice or a business, and for a practice, roughly how many clients it looks after
  • your message, if you write one
  • your agreement to this notice

When you send the form, it goes straight to the Zeynoc Ledger application, which stores your request with the time it was made and the IP address it came from. The IP address lets us limit how many requests one connection can make.

We use these details only to read and answer your request, to decide on early access and, if we approve it, to send you an invitation to set up your account. We do not add you to a mailing list and we do not sell or share your details for marketing.

The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) UK GDPR and EU GDPR) and, for questions that are not about access, our legitimate interest in answering the people who contact us (Article 6(1)(f)).

The same applies if you email us directly: we use your message and address to reply.

Emails about your request

The application sends you an email to confirm we have your request, and later one with our decision. If we approve it, that email carries a link to set up your account, which works once and expires after seven days.

Spam protection

The form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to tell people from automated spam. Turnstile processes technical signals from your browser and your IP address to run the check, and the application sends the result to Cloudflare to confirm it. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in keeping the form free of abuse.

Hosting

The website is hosted by Vercel. Like any web server, it processes your IP address and request details, such as the page requested and your browser type, to deliver the site and protect it from attacks. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running a secure, working website. We do not use analytics on this website.

Cookies

We do not set cookies on this website. Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary cookie when it runs the Turnstile check on the early access page.

Who processes your data for us

  • Vercel hosts this website and the Zeynoc Ledger application.
  • Neon hosts the application’s database, in Frankfurt, where early access requests are stored.
  • Cloudflare provides Turnstile.
  • Resend delivers the application’s emails, including the ones about your request.

They process data on our behalf and under our instructions. Some of this processing may take place outside the UK and the European Economic Area. Where it does, it relies on safeguards recognised under data protection law, such as standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision.

How long we keep it

We keep early access requests and the emails about them for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, or until you ask us to delete them, whichever comes first. If you become a customer, the data your account needs is governed by the application’s own terms.

Your rights

You have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you and get a copy
  • rectification of data that is wrong or incomplete
  • erasure of your data
  • restriction of how we process it
  • object to processing based on our legitimate interests
  • portability, receiving the data you gave us in a structured, machine readable format

To use any of these rights, email hello@ledger.zeynoc.com. We reply within one month.

You also have the right to complain to a data protection supervisory authority, such as the Information Commissioner’s Office in the UK, or the authority where you live or work.

Changes to this notice

We update this notice when the website or the services we use change. The date at the top shows the latest version.
