Zeynoc Ledger

For businesses

Your books, kept with your accountant, in one place you both use

Zeynoc Ledger is run by accountancy practices for the businesses they look after. Your accountant keeps the books and files, and on the Practice plan you work in them too.

Sole traders and landlords

Making Tax Digital for Income Tax, from the books

Quarterly updates come from the records you already keep, so nothing is typed twice. Your accountant handles the year end and the final declaration, and confirms the calculation with you.

  • Self employment and UK and foreign property
  • Other income, reliefs and losses in the same return
  • A record of who confirmed the final declaration, and when

Live once HMRC approves it On every plan.

The Income Tax overview for a sole trader in the 2026 to 2027 tax year: the National Insurance number held, HMRC's status that the client must use Making Tax Digital with the business income it is based on, the business HMRC holds on the cash basis, the connection to HMRC and the latest estimate of tax due.

Books your accountant can file from

VAT, management reports and a year end your accountant does not have to rebuild.

  • MTD VAT

Returns prepared from the books, every box traced to its transactions, on every plan.

    Live once HMRC approves it
  • Bills and purchase orders

Supplier invoices read for you, and approved by the right person before they are posted.

  • Management reports

Profit and loss, balance sheet and aged debtors and creditors, sent on a schedule if you like.

  • A clean year end

The trial balance your accountant needs for the year end accounts, ready as PDF, Excel or CSV.

Getting paid

Invoices your customers can pay from the email

Each sales invoice carries a link to pay by card or Pay by Bank. The money goes straight to your own Stripe account, and the payment is recorded in your books when your customer pays.

  • Reminders when an invoice falls due
  • Stripe's fee recorded as it is charged
  • Each payout suggested as a transfer to your bank
  • Zeynoc never holds your money and takes no share of a payment

Switching on before launch Until then, invoices carry your bank details.

Working with your accountant

Access to your own books, on your accountant's terms

On the Practice plan, your accountant can give the people in your business a role of their own. You see your own books and nothing else.

  • Client admin

Runs your own sales, purchases and bank, and can export your own data.

  • Client approver

Approves bills and invoices without doing the bookkeeping, as many business owners prefer.

  • Client submitter

Sends documents for the practice to work on, and sees only what they sent.

  • Read only

Reads the books and runs reports, and changes nothing.
